The 70th Annual Texas Tour will take place in Granbury May 16 – 19, 2024
Dear Fellow AACA member, past Tour participant, and/ or car enthusiast-
Greetings from the Texas Region! We hope that you are all doing well and getting ready to take these beautiful cars out for some spring tune up tours!
This year is the 70th Annual Texas Tour. It’ll be hosted May 16-19, 2024, in Granbury for the first time EVER! Our Tour is jam packed with activities for touring, enjoying the sites, and fraternizing with fellow enthusiasts. To play up the 70th anniversary, we are going to roll back the clock and celebrate the 70s! We had so much fun with our shirt designs, we picked two options this year- only available pre ordered!
We have several private car collections, Comanche Peak, Glen Rose and a trip around the racetrack in Cresson on our agenda. Other fun spots, judging, and themed nights will round out our yearly adventure. Silent auction and raffle items are welcome. This year the quilt is a red, white, and blue delight.
Kids and grandkids are ALWAYS welcome. We are a family friendly tour and offer a lot to the next generation! Our son Charles was 11 months old on his first Texas Tour in Nacogdoches and now he’s 6. Charlie Sr. is 93 and still coming. We want everyone young and old to enjoy the tour when and how you can. There’s always someone who has an open seat, if you want to ride.
We look forward to seeing you in May!

ENTRY FORM
For the Best Owner-Restored Car on the Texas Tour
YEAR___________ MAKE___________ JUDGING CLASS___________ OWNER_________________________CAR NUMBER ____________
An owner-restored car is one that was largely restored by its current owner and not by a professional. For the car to be eligible for this award it must be at least 25 years old, the owner must have personally performed at least 2/3 (67%) of the restoration, and must not be a professional in automotive restoration work. (A professional is a workman who is compensated in some manner for doing a particular type or phase of automotive repair or restoration work.)
The owner shall assess the percentage of work personally performed in the restoration of each category listed below. (Omit categories that do not pertain to your car’s restoration.) The average of the categories involved shall be added to the score from the class judging. The highest combined total will determine which car is the best restored with the greatest amount of work performed by the owner.
NOTE: Machine work is beyond the capability of the majority of owner-restorers. So, for example, if the owner did ALL of the disassembly and reassembly of, say, the transmission or the engine (which also may have required professional restoration machine work) he may consider that he has done 100% of that category restoration.
